Golden Globes 2014 Nominations: The Biggest Surprises & Snubs

The nominations are in and there were some big surprises and snubs for the 2014 Golden Globe Awards.

The biggest snub this year is for the drama The Butler starring Oprah Winfrey and Forest Whitaker. Oprah, who was nominated on Wednesday for a SAG Award, missed out on the Best Supporting Actress nod for the Globes.

One actor who was snubbed at the SAG Awards, but got some love from the Globes is Robert Redford, who got a nod for his role in the lost-at-sea film, All Is Lost.

Other surprises for this year’s Golden Globe’s is newcomer Chiwetel Ejiofor for Best Actor in a Drama for his role in 12 Years a Slave and Idris Elba for his portrayal of Nelson Mandela in Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom.
