Ringo Starr Announces ‘All Starr’ Summer Tour

It’s turning out to be quite the year for former Beatles drummer Ringo Starr, who announced Tuesday that he’ll be hitting the road with his All Starr Band for a North American summer tour kicking off in June.

His All Starr Band will feature the same line up as his 2012 backing band with Toto’s Steve Lukather, Mr. Mister’s Richard Page, Gregg Rolie, Todd Rundgren and Gregg Bissonette, according to Rolling Stone.

“I love playing with this band,” Ringo said in a press release. “And I can’t wait to get back out and play with them again.”

In addition to the tour, Starr also announced a “Peace & Love” celebration in Los Angeles to celebrate his 74th birthday on July 7th. Specific details on the event have yet to be announced.

This year has already started off with a bang for Starr, who just this week reunited with Beatles bandmate Paul McCartney for a performance at the GRAMMYs and at the 50th anniversary tribute of the Fab Four’s Ed Sullivan appearance, which will air on Feb. 9th on CBS.
