Three classic rock acts are hitting the road for a joint tour this summer to bring fans the ultimate ‘Soundtrack Of Summer.’ Foreigner, Styx and former Eagles guitarist Don Felder announced a three-month trek across the U.S. for their co-headlining ‘Soundtrack Of Summer Tour’ kicking off May 16th in Oklahoma City, reports Billboard.

“It’s very exciting to be out there together, 30 years after we all had No. 1 albums and everything. And having (Felder), who was an obvious contributor to the writing side of the Eagles and does lots of Eagles songs in his show, that will make a nice complement,” Styx guitarist James “J.Y.” Young tells Billboard. “It has the potential to be the most successful of anything we’ve ever done with us in a co-headline position like this.”

With a combined 250 million albums sold and 36 #1 and top 10 hits, the three legendary acts have plenty of hits between them to serve up a nostalgic summer soundtrack that fans will love all over again.

“As longtime friends, we’re happy to join Styx and Don Felder for the ultimate soundtrack of summer,” Foreigner founding member and lead guitarist Mick Jones said in a statement. “Our combined songs are some of America’s favorite summer anthems, and we’re excited to be bringing them to our fans across the country.”

Those songs includes monster hits like “Renegade,” “Juke Box Heroes” and “Hotel California,” which will all be part of the “slammin’ soundtrack of a rockin’ hot summer,” Styx guitarist James Young notes.

Billboard notes that Felder will serve as the opening act for each show, and Styx and Foreigner will interchange closing sets over the course of the tour.

In addition to the joint tour, the three acts have also re-recorded a version of the Eagles’ “Hotel California” (which Felder co-wrote) that will be featured on a compilation album to accompany the tour.

Tickets for various cities go on sale starting February 7. Fans can check out the tour’s official website, for details.
