Philip Seymour Hoffman Diaries Reveal Torn Feelings Over Two Women

It’s been nearly two weeks after Philip Seymour Hoffman died of an apparent heroin overdose, and today we are now learning he was tortured by his love of two women.

According to the New York Daily News, two diaries were found in Hoffman’s West Village apartment where his body was found on Super Bowl Sunday. The diaries depict a constant torment over his feelings between two women – his longtime girlfriend Mimi O’Donnell and another unidentified woman, according to law enforcement.

Hoffman also chronicled his decent into drug abuse and his attempt to control his dark urges. In the diary, Hoffman wrote he felt shame about drinking and abusing drugs after so many years of sobriety. One source who saw the entries told NBC News “in one line, he refers to ‘Frank’ who always owes money” and on the same page, he writes about a 15-year-old girl from Texas.

While an autopsy was inconclusive, police believe Hoffman died of a heroin overdose.
