Oscars 2014: Best Picture Checklist – How Many Have You Seen?

Hollywood Boulevard is now closed off to traffic and that means the countdown to the Oscars has officially started.

Though this is one of the best years in awhile for high-quality movies, according to a new survey, two-thirds of Americans haven’t seen any of this year’s Best Picture nominated films.

A Reuters/lpsos poll asked 1,433 Americans if they had seen any of the nine films nominated for Best Picture this year, and 67 percent voted that they haven’t seen a single one yet.

The survey also revealed that out of the nine Best Pictures nominated this year, the most-seen film was the real life tale of the Somali pirate capture Captain Phillips starring Tom Hanks with 15 percent of voters having seen the film. Coming in second was the space thriller Gravity starring Sandra Bullock and George Clooney with 14 percent.

So which films are even nominated for Best Picture this year? Here’s a checklist to get you prepared for the Oscars this Sunday night.

Best Picture:

American Hustle
Captain Phillips
Dallas Buyers Club
12 Years a Slave
The Wolf of Wall Street
