Billy Joel & Jimmy Fallon Sing An iPad Doo-Wop Of “The Lion Sleeps Tonight”

Billy Joel has likely seen and done it all over his four+ decade career, but during his visit to the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon Thursday night, the piano man marked a first for his career by giving a historic performance…with an iPad.

Fallon invited Joel to play a little game with him using an iPad app that loops your voice so they could form a two-man Doo-Wop group. Fallon’s song of choice? The Tokens’ 1961 hit “The Lion Sleeps Tonight.”

Recording each part separately on the Loopy app, Fallon and Joel were able to pull off all the harmonies of the song and duet with each other on the verse and chorus!
