The cast of the hit musical Rock Of Ages stopped by The K-EARTH 101 Morning Show this morning to talk about celebrating an entire year on stage in Sin City. The musical is set in 1987 at L.A.’s infamous Sunset Strip and follows two big-city dreamers who move to L.A. in hopes to make it big in music and find love.

Joining us in studio this morning was Becca Kote, who plays Sherrie in the musical – a girl who moves from a small town to the City of Angeles to chase her dream; and Justin Mortelliti, who plays Drew – a Detroit native who moves to L.A. in hopes to become a rock star while picking up a bartending job at the Bourbon Room on the Sunset Strip.

The cast is celebrating its 500th performance coming up next week at the Venetian Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. The song list is a “greatest hits” of sorts from the mid-late ’80s and includes memorable songs like “Wanted Dead Or Alive,” “Cum On Feel The Noize,” “Shadows Of The Night,” “More Than Words,” and much more. The playlist is not only loved by the audience, but also has a special place in the cast’s heart.

“It’s all we listened to growing up. My dad would drive us around and that was the rule – we could only listen to rock and it was usually ’80s rock,” said Becca.

“[Rock of Ages] is written with passion, and it’s true because… you need it to be just the way it’s in your heart and in your head,” said Justin.

You can relive all these great songs and more by catching Rock of Ages now on stage at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas six nights a week. Click here for show details and tickets.
