Billy Idol is ready to give you more, more, more when he releases his memoir Dancing With Myself on Oct. 7.

The self-penned book will focus on Idol’s life, from his transient childhood to his punk rock roots to the height of his MTV takeoff with hits like “White Wedding” and “Rebel Yell.”

Idol — real name, William Michael Albert Broad — also promises his book will feature never-before-told stories that get at the heart of his sex, drugs and rock and roll lifestyle. So, yes, there may be more than a few “dancing with myself” puns, if you’re into that sort of thing.

“I am hopelessly divided between the dark and the good, the rebel and the saint, the sex machine and the monk, the poet and the priest, the demagogue and the populist,” he wrote in a letter to fans. “Pen to paper, I am putting it all down, every bit from the heart. I am going out on a limb here, so watch my back.”
