Are the hot summer temps keeping you awake at night? Many people think stripping down to nothing is a quick fix to beat the heat at night, but according to one sleep expert, you should avoid sleeping naked.
According to the Daily Mail, sleep expert Dr Neil Stanley says it’s actually better for people to wear some kind of light pajamas made of natural fibers to bed.
Why? “The pajama fabric draws sweat away from your body,” Stanley says, “and will make you feel a lot cooler and more comfortable.”
He also suggests to remove the over-sheet, duvet or blanket to keep cool. He notes that the main thing you need to do to keep cool at night is to lower your body temperature.
Some tips to do this include taking a luke-warm shower before bed, use a fan, sleep downstairs where its cooler, or chill your sheets by folding them up tight, placing in a bag and putting them in the fridge and hour or two before bed. Genius!Comments
