Today's Tickets @ 2 Song: "Rock With You" by Michael Jackson
By Britt Bickel

With the passing of iconic film star Lauren Bacall on Tuesday, many fans are taking a moment to celebrate her life and work, which is not only forever immortalized on film, but in song.

As noted by Slate, Bacall was the last of the living Hollywood legends mentioned in Madonna’s 1990 dance hit “Vogue” that paid homage to the Golden Age of film. She held this title for ten years, after the passing of Marlon Brando in 2004.

In the song’s spoken word section, Madonna pays tribute to 16 20th-century icons that represented old Hollywood glamor. Lauren was mention alongside Katherine Hepburn (who passed in 2003) and Lana Turner (who passed in 1995).
