It was 32 years today (Aug. 13) that Cameron Crowe’s adolescent coming of age comedy Fast Times At Ridgemont High first hit theaters (wow, has it really been that long?!).
The film featured dozens of celebs before they were famous, including Oscar-winning actor Sean Penn as the “perpetually stoned surfer dude” Jeff Spicoli, Judge Reinhold as the down-on-his-luck senior Brad Hamilton, his younger sister Stacy played by Jennifer Jason Leigh and Phoebe Cates as Stacy’s best friend and Brad’s secret crush, Linda Barrett. Plus, Nicholas Cage, Forest Whitaker, Eric Stolz and Anthony Edwards all had minor parts in the film.
While the movie is perhaps best-known for that pool scene with Cates, we’re taking a look back at a lesser-known scene that featured Heart guitarist Nancy Wilson, who later married Crowe in 1986 (and divorced in 2008).
Wilson made a cameo as the “beautiful girl in car” who fools Brad into thinking she’s flirting with him, but is really laughing at his ridiculous pirate work hat. In the end, she speeds off and totally leaves Brad in her dust. Her cameo was remembered on Heart’s official Twitter account today.
