Stevie Nicks Confirms Unborn Child with Eagles’ Don Henley Would Have Been Named ‘Sara’

Stevie Nicks, the legendary frontwoman for Fleetwood Mac and acclaimed solo artist, has given a new interview  in which she reveals a number of interesting tidbits.

One of the most noteworthy passages is a response to a previously revealed story Eagles‘ leader Don Henley has told, which was that the Mac song “Sara” (from the 1979 double-album, Tusk) was actually the name of the unborn child Nicks once carried which Henley had fathered.

When asked about this, Nicks both confirms and refutes aspects of it.

“Had I married Don and had that baby, and had she been a girl, I would have named her Sara,” Nicks said. “But there was another woman in my life named Sara, who shortly after that became Mick’s wife, Sara Fleetwood.

When prodded further, Nicks clarifies “Right. [What Henley says is] accurate, but not the entirety of it.”
