For the first time since his departure last February, Jay Leno returned to the set of the Tonight Show Friday night for a chat with his late night successor, Jimmy Fallon.
Leno’s highly anticipated return to the show drew in big numbers for the show, earning the show its highest Friday night ratings in eight months.
During his appearance, Leno went back to his stand up roots and performed a monologue-style set with jokes about Ikea furniture with sexual connotation, his outdated cell phone he’s had since 1999, binge-watching a show and more.
In the sit down interview portion, Jimmy flat-out asks Leno, “how am I doing?” to which Leno jokingly changes the subject to the weather, “boy, it’s that crisp autumn New York weather.”
