Valentine’s Day is nigh, and if you haven’t made plans already to go out—or secured hard-to-get restaurant reservations—consider staying in. Temperatures outside are supposed to drop even further this weekend, but inside, it’s warm and cozy.
Whether or not you’re spending time this weekend with your sweetie, a crew of single friends or just by your lonesome, we’ve got you covered…at least in the ‘what to watch’ department. To help warm things up on Valentine’s Day, below is a list of 19 romantically oriented movies you can stream online, rent or even purchase, covering a wide swath of love, romance and all the places in-between.
This film is considered the most romantic film of all time according to the American Film Institute, and if you haven’t seen it yet, you are missing out. Set during World War 2, Humphrey Bogart is an American expatriate who runs a nightclub in the titular Casablanca who must decide between choosing the love of his life (played by Ingrid Bergman) or aiding her husband (twist!) in fighting the Nazis.
