Watch Jimmy Fallon and Jack Black Redo Extreme’s ‘More Than Words’ Video for Some Reason

By Brian Ives

“Jimmy, when I next guest on The Tonight Show, what we really should do is recreate a video, shot for shot, of an Extreme song. But what song?

“Well, Jack, I think we should definitely go with ‘Kid Ego,’ from their 1989 self titled debut.”

“Jimmy, I don’t know about that. I really, really like ‘Tragic Comic.’ You know, from their 1992 album, III Sides to Every Story!”

“Perhaps ‘Get The Funk Out,’ from 1990’s Extreme II Pornograffitti?”

“Jimmy, it might be better if we went acoustic. Unplugged, if you will. Let’s try ‘Hole Hearted.'”

“Jack, you know very well that that song, while a big hit, wasn’t even included on the vinyl version of Pornograffitti. We’re limited the amount of people who might get the joke. But hey, if you think we should unplug, why not ‘More Than Words?’ After all, it was  a No. 1 hit in 1991!”

“Yeah, let’s do it!”

The above is a purely fictional conversation between Jimmy Fallon and Jack Black that we made up in our minds. But we’re hoping the brainstorming process to come up with the above, shot-for-shot version of “More Than Words” by Fallon and Black, went something like that.

Anyway, Extreme’s singer, Gary Cherone, seemed to approve.
