When asked about being “the poster boy for feminists,” Gosling starts out a bit unsure.
“There are certainly worse things you can be a part of. I mean, look, I have very strong female characters in my life. I grew up with strong women and the amount of them grows exponentially as time goes on, in my world and that’s my reality. So, I just tend to gravitate towards stories with strong female characters. It’s not a conscious thing.”
Gosling went on to say embracing females in culture is becoming more important in the world at large, if not to his already enlightened self in particular. And that attitude is important to him, as the father of a baby girl.
