One of our favorite people, comedian Gabriel Iglesias, aka Fluffy, stopped by this morning to talk about his weight loss, new show on Fuse and upcoming live shows at Microsoft Theater.
We first had to find out what Fluffy has been up to since we last saw him. And that would be losing about 110 pounds.
After almost reaching 450 pounds, a visit to the doctor gave Fluffy the wake-up call he needed to lose weight. Type 2 Diabetes, other medical numbers coming back out of whack and basically being told if he didn’t lose weight he wouldn’t be around anymore, were all wake-up calls to lose weight.
He went from not giving any “Fluffs” in his 20s saying he didn’t want to live to be 100 if he couldn’t have tacos everyday, to being in his 30s and being told basically he was going to die if he didn’t make changes in his lifestyle.
Fluffy’s new show is called Fluffy Breaks Even. The show is about Fluffy and his friends going out and eating an extreme meal and then the next day going through an extreme workout to work off all the calories from the night before.
The show premieres Thursday at 10pm on Fuse.
To win tickets to one of Iglesias’ upcoming shows at Microsoft Theater December 26th and 27th, the K-EARTH 101 Surf Pig was out in Pico Rivera for listeners to give the comedian their best joke. Tickets for the shows go on sale Friday, October 2nd at 10am at axs.com.
