Taking on the main cooking duties for your family’s Thanksgiving dinner can be a daunting task, even for the seasoned vet. Getting all the prep work ready, plus juggling the times of when to bake each dish so that everything comes out hot for dinner can create chaos in the kitchen.

To help make it a relaxing Thanksgiving this year, we came across this helpful guide from All Recipes to make sure all your Thanksgiving dishes are perfectly timed to come out on the table nice and hot for your guests.

9:00 a.m. —  chop all the veggies; peel the potatoes and submerge in water to keep from browning.

10 a.m. — toast the bread for your stuffing.

10:30 a.m. — start cooking the pumpkin pie to allow four hours for it to cool off.

11:00 a.m. — while the pie is baking, get the turkey ready to roast.

12:30 p.m. — make your casseroles up to the point to bake in the oven, then place in the fridge until the turkey is done.

1:30 p.m. — make the mashed potatoes hours ahead of dinner time and keep them hot in the slow-cooker, as well as gravy, which can be kept warm on the stove.

3:00 p.m. — Thirty minutes before your turkey is set to come out, set the table.

3:30 p.m. — Put tin foil over the turkey to keep it warm, then put the casseroles in the oven.

4:00 p.m. — Place all your dishes on the table and feast!
