LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The U.S. Postal Service Los Angeles District will begin its annual Operation Santa program on Tuesday.
At 11 a.m., USPS officials will inform the public on how to “adopt” letters written to Santa Claus, by hundreds of children across Los Angeles County, in the coming weeks ahead of Christmas.
Volunteers who adopt the letters — which often ask for things such as warm clothing, toys or even food — can write back to the children and send them the gift they requested.
