Roger Daltrey Records ‘Let My Love Open the Door’ for Charity

“Let My Love Open the Door” is Pete Townshend’s biggest solo hit. Originally appearing on Townshend’s 1980 album, Empty Glass, the 36 year old track is getting an update.

Only weeks after leaving the hospital after being treated for viral meningitis, Townshend’s bandmate Roger Daltrey jumped into the studio to rerecord the Open the Door for their joint charity, Teen Cancer America.

Daltrey’s cover of the song is the theme for a new advertising campaign for the charity, which debuted this week.

Teen Cancer America focuses on updating hospitals and medical facilities across the country to create treatment centers specifically for teenagers.
