Can we talk about how much money Joan River’s dog bowl sold for yesterday at a Christie’s Auction sale of the late comic’s belongings?

Her beloved Yorkie Spike ate from a real silver Tiffany & Co. bowl that was only expected to fetch $800, but bidding went crazy and the bowl sold for $13,750.

The sale is benefiting two charity’s, God’s Love We Deliver and Guide Dogs For The Blind as well as her heirs.

So far they have raised $2.2 million with the highest bid going for an 1898 Faberge frame for $245,000. Also auctioned off a pair of Luis XVI- style settees which sold for $37,500. Her precious faux ivory Penhaligan’s toilette set went for $4,000. There were gowns she wore on the red carpet and tons of Chanel bags.

And this is just the first auction Melissa Rivers says there will be a second auction July 19-21st which will include Joan’s everyday items such as her art, jewelry and furniture.

For now Melissa is focusing on getting what she called “Joan’s Law” into legislation. A law that regulates outpatient clinics, “So no one has to go through this kind of horror again,” says Melissa.
