You remember her from Top Gun, but now there’s a new role for Kelly McGillis, “Crime Victim.”

There are some chilling details of Kelly taking on an intruder in her own home. The alleged attack happened inside her North Carolina home last Wednesday when Kelly says she arrived home and as she walked in to her house a woman hiding ran out and began punching and scratching her.

The two struggled as McGillis called 911.  She did manage to escape and with her car keys still in hand was able to drive for help. Cops arrived and arrested the woman whose name was Laurence Dorn on a list of charges, including assault and stalking.

The Sheriff’s department says the woman flew to North Carolina from Chicago and took a cab straight to Kelly’s house.

After this event Kelly got an emergency concealed weapons permit and posted a picture on her Facebook of her target practice, which was pretty perfect. She has since deleted all her social media accounts after being yelled at for getting a concealed weapons permit.

Before deleting her accounts she explained her fears and how she was raped at age 12 and is very afraid for her life now. McGillis has bruises and scratches and is feeling very unsettled, but is most upset that her vicious attacker wasn’t alone, she had a 6-year-old with her. That child was put in protective custody and Dorn is being held on $60,000 bond and is due in court this week.
