Art imitates life or life imitates art as they say. The movie, The Infiltrator came out over the weekend and so did this story.

Turns out two of the film’s stars, John Leguizamo and Bryan Cranston, had real life fights on the set, but not with each other. Cranston’s run in came with a waiter during a scene in a restaurant, while Leguizamo’s fight ended up with him choking actor Juan Cely.

That scene was supposed to be a “fake” fight but escalated into a real fight after Leguizamo says his street tough roots kicked in. He says he doesn’t know why he put Juan in a choke hold but he did and as soon as he realized Juan could not breathe, he let go eventually leaving Cely a little shaken up for sure.

Leguizamo says the fight made it into the film, be he would never repeat that again.

Cranston says his on screen shuffle came while filming a scene in a restaurant. “Something just came out of that that was not planned or scripted. There was a waiter (actor) delivering a cake in the scene to  a table where Cranston’s character was seated. Cranston says he pushed the guys face in the cake which was not in the script.

He says the actor became very upset and apologies had to be made.
