Seth Rogen is coming under fire and being accused of racism.
Turns out he’s in a ton of trouble with the SJW’s (Social Justice Warriors) for perceived racial stereotypes in his new movie, Sausage Party, which comes out today.
So for those of you who don’t know, Sausage Party’s plot revolves around a hot dog’s relationship with other foods, which ends with a food orgy.
The problem for the SJW’s is the racial stereotypes of some of the foods in the movie, like an Arabic loaf of Lavash which makes fun of the 77 bottles of extra virgin olive oil awaiting him in the next life.
Also offensive to the SJW’s is an Irish potato singing, “Danny Boy.”
Salma Hayek is the voice of the Mexican taco, and they are taking umbrage with the German Sauerkraut too. His character is dedicated to “exterminating the juice” compound, and lastly a Native American bottle of firewater is offending as well with lines like, “He had settled in the grocery store first before getting shoved in the back room.”
So far no word from Rogen, but in the past he has issued a mea culpa for his edgy past saying, “There’s for sure some stuff in our earlier movies, and even in our more recent movies, where even like a year later you’re like eh, maybe that wasn’t the greatest idea.”
Maybe this is one of those bad ideas, time will tell.
