LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A special train service will be offered to football fans attending Los Angeles Rams home games during the 2016-17 season, Metrolink announced Thursday.
Stress-free, affordable rides to and from the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum will be offered starting Sunday.
“There’s no faster, more convenient and affordable way to get to and from the game,” said Metrolink Board Chairman Shawn Nelson. “We hope our current riders enjoy this special service, but we also want to attract new riders who don’t realize how easy it is to ride Metrolink.”
The special train service will be added on Metrolink’s Antelope Valley, San Bernardino, Orange County and 91/Perris Valley lines.
Football fans will take the Metrolink to Los Angeles Union Station, and transfer to Metro’s Red or Purple line. They will then transfer at the 7th and Metro station to the Expo Line, which stops at the coliseum.
Transfers are included in the round trip ticket price, which costs $10.
Riders should purchase a Weekend Day Pass ticket out of a ticket vending machine.
