To celebrate Foreigner’s 40th anniversary, its founder, guitarist and producer Mick Jones will be releasing the first official biography about the band. Titled A Foreigner’s Tale, it tracks when he came together with Leslie West and then Spooky Tooth in New York to form the band, and their time since then.

The book will contain numerous illustrations and photographs of Foreigner, and will also detail Jones’ thoughts on records and artists who influenced him as well as his legendary guitar collection.

A Foreigner’s Tale will only be available at, and fans can register today to order a copy. The book will be released in 2017, and while registration does not mean a commitment to buy, it does lock in the pre-sale price and offer fans a chance to get their name in the book.

In conjunction with the book’s release, Foreigner will be heading out on a world tour in 2017 to mark its 40th anniversary. More details on those dates will be released later.
