About Jhani:
Jhani ("Johnny") Kaye is one of radio's preeminent programmers with distinctive style and experience. One of his first experiences in Los Angeles radio was preceding Charlie Tuna on the air at KROQ and KKDJ. He has appeared on various television shows, including Dick Clark's "Bloopers & Practical Jokes" and "The Drew Carey Show."
Since taking the helm as the Program Director at K-EARTH 101 in 2006, his unique approach brought the station to the Top 4 in the Los Angeles market among general market adult listeners.
Birthday: June 18
Began at K-EARTH: January 3, 2006
What led me to K-EARTH 101: I always wanted to work at K-Earth, but there never seemed to be an opening. So for over 17 years I was associated with KOST, where I co-created the Lovesongs program as Program Director of the station. I also oversaw the programming of KBIG, where I hired Charlie Tuna to be the morning host.
What I would be doing if I wasn't at K-EARTH 101: Listening to K-Earth 101! (And directing and editing video-my other profession.)
My Funniest Radio Story: Reading news on an LA station called KUTE 102 while having the hiccups! I couldn't stop them from happening several times during each story.
