I received the following email from another pet owner. It brought a smile to my face and I’m sure you’ll enjoy it, too! According to the email, this note to dogs and cats was posted very low on a refrigerator door. Well, that’s the story anyway, and I kinda like to think that it’s true.

And for good reason, that voice just might be me!

A lot of listeners I’ve talked to think I only work on Saturdays. That’s true – my K-EARTH air shift is Saturdays from 2pm to 7pm, following the radio legend himself, Charlie Tuna.

But Monday thru Friday, I’m not sitting at home eating bon-bons and watching the NFL Network – although that does sound delightful. I stay very busy as a voice over actress. What’s that? That’s the voice you hear on a TV or radio ad, as well as, books on tape, e-learning, animation, and so much more.

About Sylvia:

Sylvia Aimerito, born in Springfield, Il, and raised in Lakewood, CA, is a long-time favorite of the LA radio community. She began her illustrious broadcasting career with pink hair, spinning Rock ‘n Rhythm New Wave tunes at KNAC, Long Beach. Subsequent positions at KFI, KHJ, and KMET led to ten years co-hosting morning drive at KBIG 104 with one highlight being racing in the Toyota Pro/Celebrity Grand Prix and finishing first! Okay, so that’s a little white lie but she didn’t finish last. Other radio highlights include interviewing terrific people in the biz like Tina Turner, Vanessa Williams, Bonnie Raitt, and Rod Stewart.

In 1997, Ms. Aimerito focused on a voice over career and co-founded AudioGirl Productions; a flourishing voice over, music, and audio/video production company whose clients include: Princess Cruises, Baja Fresh, PlayStation 2, and the FBI. In 2003, she returned to her broadcasting roots as a weekend DJ for KEARTH, loving every minute of it.

For R & R, she plays bass in a gigging duo/trio, is a voracious reader, and loves taking her fiberglass RV (the “escape pod”) on hiking and fly-fishing adventures with her canine companion Brady tagging along. Her father, being a fabulous Italian chef, instilled in her a love of good wines and all things culinary and her favorite time of the year is Football Season!

My Pet: Two fabulous dogs. Brady (named after Tom Brady, quarterback for the New England Patriots) a Wheaten Terrier and Scout (named after the character Scout in "To Kill a Mockingbird") a rescue terrier mix.

Favorite Actor: My passion is football not movies so let me tell you my favorite football player. Tom Brady - quarterback New England Patriots. He's excellent at his craft and he plays to win!

Favorite Actress: That's hard to relate to football.

Favorite Current Film: My favorite current football team is the Green Bay Packers.

Favorite All Time Film: My favorite football team of all time is a toss up between the Green Bay Packers and the Dallas Cowboys.

Favorite Book I recently read:I’m in a book club so I’m reading a new book every month. We read everything – new, classics, biographies, etc. Oh, and yes, we do enjoy a glass of wine at every meeting!

Favorite K-EARTH 101 song: The one playing right now.

Favorite LA Sports Team: The next NFL team that calls LA home.

Favorite Southern California "Thing" to do: Go to the beach.

Favorite Junk Food/Fast Food: Ice Cream. I have my own ice cream maker and whip up tons of creations. You can't beat my Rocky Road.

Hobbies: Cooking, fly-fishing, camping and watching football.
