Mark your calendars because summer’s most beloved culinary festival is heading back to Downtown L.A. for it’s sixth year. The Los Angeles Food & Wine Festival is ready to celebrate everyone’s love of food in a big way at various locations throughout the city for four days starting on August 25, 2016. With a spectacular mix of local and global culinary personalities, hundreds of participating restaurants and wine tastings, the event showcases the finest in food and drink culture throughout Los Angeles.

Amazon Presents Eat the World with Emeril Lagasse
Location: Downtown LA at Grand Avenue and 1st Street
Date: August 25, 2016 from 7pm – 10pm

Kick it up a notch with The incomparable Emeril Lagasse who will be hosting an evening which will bring top chefs from all over the country to celebrate food they’re passionate about. With a walk-around tasting throughout some of the most iconic streets in downtown L.A. will offer food creations from all over the world. The event is inspired by Lagasse’s upcoming Amazon series “Eat The World,” which follows the celebrated chef and his fellow award-winning chefs like José Andrés, Danny Bowien, Marcus Samuelsson, Mario Batali, Aarón Sánchez and Nancy Silverton, who offer up knowledge to him on their respective culinary techniques and cooking traditions from their favorite places around the world. Guests will have the chance to nibble on food from the best chefs from around the world while enjoying tasty cocktails, beers, and wine, too. Some of the top chefs serving creations include Chris Ford, Jason Dady, Angelo Auriana, Matt Bata, Barb Batiste, Ian Gresik, Emeril Lagasse, Alvin Cailan, Kristina Milksyte, Frania Mendivil and many others. Who’s pouring drinks? There will be over 100 participating wineries, and breweries! Tickets to the event are $115, or $160 for the VIP treatment.

Alumni Brandon Kida & Kevin Meehan of Los Angeles’ celebrated L’Orangerie restaurant will be teaming up to bring guests updated versions of the dishes they used to make at L’Orangerie famous. Stop by Hinoki & The Bird, which is the perfect venue to experience the delicious culinary expertise of these two chefs.

As a great restaurant to go along with downtown Los Angeles’ Broad Museum, Otium is a sleek but rustic eatery offering diners delicious fine dining. Otium’s top chef Timothy Hollingsworth, along with Jeremy Fox of Rustic Canyon and Jon Shook of Animal are combining their talents to offer up a great lunch event which will also include a tour of the beautiful Broad Museum before the meal. The price is $175, and the event runs from 11am to 1:30pm.

Venice’s popular Rose Cafe will be participating in the L.A. Food & Wine Festival this year with a lunch by chef Jason Neroni, along with Felix’s Evan Funke, and chef’s Francis Derby of The Cannibal and Nyesha Arrington of Leona in Venice. The lunch, from 12pm to 2:30pm will feature wines from Mulderbosch, Trinity Hill and others, and the chef’s will be offering their finest collaborative dishes for guests.

Chef David LeFevre of The Arthur J has a solid reputation for putting out bold flavors with an imaginative flare. Along with the James Beard Nominated Alex Seidel, LeFevre will be plating something special for guests inside the beautifully decorated Arthur J restaurant. The price is $125 and the lunch is from 12pm to 2:30pm.

One of the highlight events of the entire Food & Wine Festival is Live On Grand, which is offered on Saturday in front of the Walt Disney Concert Hall. Here, guests will get to enjoy a massive tasting event along with great musical performances. The event, which begins at 7pm and ends at 10pm, will star 30 chefs and 50 wineries serving up delicious tastings for guests to enjoy while taking in the beautiful surroundings of downtown L.A. Plating chefs include Andre Bienvenu of Joe’s Stone Crab, Fernando Darin of Ray’s & Stark Bar, Damon Gordon of Water Grill, Genevieve Gergis and Ori Menashe of Bestia, Robert Liberato of STK, Michael Kahikina and Rory Herrmann of Barrel & Ashes, and many others. Another must-attend event will be featured inside the historic and grand Barker Hanger in Santa Monica. From 12pm to 3pm, The Lexus Grand Tasting at Los Angeles Food & Wine will be a great opportunity to enjoy over 200 wines from some of the world’s most reputable wineries. 25 celebrity chefs will be showcasing their incredible culinary skills and be offering delicious and decadent tasting samples of their eats. There will also be great book signings and photo sessions with some of LA’s top celebrity chef’s as well. Some of the chef’s participating include Ben Cohn of Westside Tavern, Ted Hopson of The Bellwether, Bruce Kalman of Pasadena’s Union, Adam Titze of Belcampo Meat Co. and many others.

Sunday will offer another chance for guests to enjoy Lexus’ Grand Tasting at Santa Monica’s historic and grand Barker Hanger. Enjoy wine from over 80 wineries, as well as food from top L.A. chefs.
