Angelina Jolie has requested that the private judge overseeing her divorce from Brad Pitt be removed from their case.

Jolie, 44, claims in filings made on Monday with Los Angeles Superior Court that Judge John W. Ouderkirk had not sufficiently disclosed his involvement in other cases with Anne C. Kiley, one of Pitt’s attorneys, reports Associated Press.

According to the documents, Ouderkirkn “failed to disclose the cases that demonstrated the current, ongoing, repeat-customer relationship between the judge and Respondent’s counsel.”

The filing also claims that “actively advocated for Judge Ouderkirk’s financial interests in moving — over the opposing party’s opposition — to have his appointment (and his ability to continue to receive fees) extended in a high profile case.”

“As is set forth in the filing, all my client is asking for is a fair trial based on facts, with no special favors extended to either side,” Jolie’s attorney Samantha Bley DeJean wrote in an email to AP.

“The only way litigants can trust the process is for everyone involved to ensure that there is transparency and impartiality,” DeJean added.

Neither Ouderkirk nor Kiley and Pitt’s lead attorney Lance Spiegel responded to a request for comment from AP.

Jolie filed for divorce from Pitt, 56, in 2016.

The actress recently opened up about the split, saying she went through with it “for the well-being of my family.”

One of the points of contention in the ongoing divorce has been Miraval, the French château and winery the former couple bought in 2011 and for which they requested a court extension to hammer out details last October.

The couple were together for 12 years and married for two before Jolie filed for divorce.

They are parents to six children.
